Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Raquel Millikin, because she is loving, funny and I love doing everything with her.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson of Kelowna because it makes me forget about work.

Describe yourself in one word.
Considerate.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Europe because I have never been.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Motorcycling.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Usually any practical joke on me.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Living on our ranch and owning my own horse and of course, I loved everything outdoors with my family.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I participate in Ride to Reach and raising funds for multiple local charities including JDRF, People in Motion and Starbright to name a few. I also work with local based Hope for the Nations in working abroad.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Build one shelter at a time for everyone.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Okanagan Lake and the many wineries.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Travel to Europe with Raquel
2. Learn to play the guitar
3. Take Raquel on a trip down the Oregon Coast in an RV for the whole family!

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I have sung in a quartet.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Facebook mostly.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Align West Homes Ltd.

Why did you get into/start this business?
I’m a carpenter by trade and I love building for people.

What is the goal of your business?
To continuously succeed and build quality homes while giving back to the community and abroad.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Divorce.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
Probably different.

What do you always find yourself saying?
‘I’m sorry’

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Treat others like you want to be treated.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
My dad because I want to cherish every moment I have left with him and he is someone I want to honour.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
It boosts our local economy.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Owning and running my own business.

Raquel Millikin because she loves me every day and through every stressful moment. She continues to be the most patient and loving person that I have ever known.

It’s hard to write about oneself. I am just a person who wants to see a positive change in the world around me by working hard and blessing others as I have been blessed beyond measure.
