Responsible for the overall governance of the Association, CHBA CO’s Board of Directors brings together volunteer leaders from the Okanagan. The Board meets once a month to set key policies and directions for the Central Okanagan in accordance with our strategic plan.

Krista Paine brings a variety of experience to the Okanagan design and build community. As a Registered Interior Designer, Red Seal Carpenter and owner of Ian Paine Construction, Krista has been awarded numerous design and build awards including receiving Canada’s Renovator of the Year. As a member of IDC’s advocacy committee, BC Renovator Council, being an educator at CATO, and successfully running a construction company, her extensive breadth of experience brings a vast array of knowledge to the Board.

Kerry McDowell

Dilworth Quality Homes

Kerry McDowell serves as General Manager of Dilworth Homes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business. In his role he provides support to the project delivery team, field operations, customer engagement and front-end vision for Dilworth’s Quick Possession, Semi Custom and Custom Home programs. Prior to joining Dilworth Homes, Kerry worked in the civil, oil and gas industries in senior management roles where he was responsible for the company’s operations, HSE and project delivery teams. He also worked as part of the SLT to develop strategic corporate plans, and provide direction and leadership in achieving company vision, mission and values. Before he headed to the Lower Mainland, Kerry spent 18 years in the residential and commercial construction segments as a GC, PM and GM in different organizations, bringing exceptional projects to life in the southern Saskatchewan area, where he is originally from. During this time, he worked on teams responsible for the construction and restoration of heritage projects, new commercial construction and the turnkey delivery of a 65-acre master plan residential community.

Michael Chatham

Growing up with a Home Builder for a father, I've been around construction my entire life. After carving my own path working for different framing companies and acquiring my Journeyman Electrical ticket, I decided to join my father in the family business. I've learned literally from the 'ground up' all facets of the business. I starting out operating heavy equipment and our gravel truck, before working my way up and learning how to run the business. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to learn from the best (my father) while also immersing myself in new construction technology so I can take the old school knowledge and blend it with the technologies of the future. I am very passionate to see fundamental change in our industry and in housing as a whole. I've long felt a call to help incite this change and to get involved in a leadership role. I feel my knowledge and skills could be an asset to the Association in many ways, but feel especially called to get involved in the politics that so deeply impact our industry and our communities.

Tyler Krenz

Tyler Krenz is a Senior Manager at Grant Thornton LLP. His primary focus is working with business owners with their corporate year-end compliance work, corporate and personal tax planning and any other business advisory needs. He has extensive knowledge of the Real Estate industry, gained from a combination of over eight years as a professional advisor and over fifteen years as a real estate investor. He is happy to be a part of CHBA and is excited to help shape the direction of the home building industry in Kelowna. When he is not in the office he is enjoying the outdoor Okanagan activities with his Wife and Daughter.

Kendra Dunn comes from a rich background spanning various industries, bringing a wealth of experience to the Norelco Cabinets team as their Sales Manager. She started her career in retail as a buyer for one of Canada’s largest retailers, quickly climbing the corporate ladder while simultaneously exploring her passion for design and construction through home renovation, flipping, building, and selling homes. This journey has established her as a prominent voice within the residential community in Kelowna for the past ten years. Kendra firmly believes that CHBA's members are the best in the industry and feels privileged to work alongside and support this incredible group of individuals.

Cassidy DeVeer

Cassidy deVeer is the President and co-owner of 3rd Generation Homes in Kelowna, BC. Growing up in the industry and having managed and operated a successful and constantly growing business for the past 8 years, Cassidy has an extensive knowledge of construction and homebuilding. As such, she has become well-respected for her achievements, her knowledge, and the success of her company’s projects. Cassidy being born and raised in Kelowna; is an active part of the community, as a basketball coach and volunteers with other non-profit organizations.

Delaney maintains a broad litigation practice with a focus on contractual and other business disputes. Delaney was born and raised in Saskatchewan. She received a Bachelor of Science (Nutrition) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria. During law school, Delaney volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada for the MS Society of Canada. After completing her articles at Pushor Mitchell, Delaney was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2022.

Sandy Morris

Sandmor Construction

Sandy Morris is the owner and licensed builder for Sandmor Construction. She has been involved in the building industry for over fifteen years. Getting her start with an electric contractor as a Project Manager/Estimator for residential construction. Learning her way through the estimating part of home electrical was new and challenging but very exciting. This was her break into the construction industry, from there she was hired on by a local developer as a Site Manager, learning from the ground up how town houses made their way from a hole in the ground to turning the keys over to the new homeowner. With all this experience she was able to secure a job as the Construction Manager for a new housing development going in at Tower Ranch in Kelowna in 2014. In this role she was in charge of the entire site as far as home construction was involved, building 28 homes in two years. She looked after moving the new homeowners into all these homes. After some restructuring with this company in 2017, Sandy decided it was time to look at starting her own business. She was able to work with a couple of local builders as a Project Manager as she was building her own construction company. Sandy was on the CHBACO Board of Directors from 2020 – 2022, in her time on the board she started the Women In Construction Committee. With the committee’s goal to work with young girls and women and show them the way into the construction industry with education, bursaries etc. Sandy was chairperson on this committee for 2 years and is still a member of this committee.

Kirsten Brown

Kirsten has been employed in the construction and development industry since 2010 and has held roles in human resources, operations, sales, administration, project planning, event planning and interior decorating. Being born and raised in Kelowna she has seen massive changes in the city and would like to help make Kelowna the best city it can be. She hopes to use her voice to increase the construction talent pool through the encouragement of women in the trades as well as introduce the divers career possibilities in the construction industry to high school students and make it easier for skilled immigrant workers to come to work in Canada. Kirsten is grateful to have relationships with many of our CHBA-CO members after working for Edgecombe Builders for many years and now as the VP Operations with the Wilden Group.

Clayton Parks

Clayton has lived in Kelowna since 2016 and has been active in the Mechanical side of the construction industry for the last 16 years, including six years of project management and partnership with Quality Air care. Clayton has devoted his time not only to his company but to the CHBA-CO with involvement through multiple committees including Step Code, U40 and awards committees. Clayton has also took part in many high efficient home projects throughout the Okanagan as well as provided education during step code implementation. With his involvement with the board Clayton hopes to not only provide a professional stance as a mechanical trade but be a knowledgeable voice for the subtrades involved with construction. When not working, he can be found outdoors, kayaking or biking with my family.
