CHBA CO’s Step Code Cost Analysis

The CHBA Central Okanagan has conducted an in depth study on the BC Energy Step Code.  Our results have confirmed that implementation of the BC Energy Step Code will add significant costs to entry level homes across the Okanagan.  With 50% of British Columbian’s thinking Housing is the most important issue in the province, we must consultant with municipalities to ensure that emphasis is put on the existing housing stock and providing incentives to those that build to a higher step of the BC Energy Step Code.
